What is happening to our weather? This question makes me nervous. It makes me nervous because I don't know how to answer it or what to think. Is the weather getting worse than usual? What does that even mean? If it is, is that just mother nature being mother nature or are we impacting it? If it is not getting worse, is this how the weather always has been?
The other day in my city the rain came pouring down. The streets flooded like I have never seen before. Under the train bridge there were cars submerged.
Hurricanes have ravaged people's lives over the recent months. Is this worse than usual? I just don't know. I do know it can be scary and stressful.
So when you don’t know what do you do?
What I do is I ask “Starting now, what are right ways to be in the world?” Oh that is easy...
Is it really? We live in a system where the complexity of interactions, intended and unintended consequences, and time make the right answer ever evolving. Can you simply give up the use of anything that produces green house gases? Will this make a difference? Will this make it difficult to catalyze change management though actions needed to coordinate and communicate knowledge m
I think the first step is in the right direction with the right intent.
